Privacy at TravelPages
Travel involves personal places, plans, people, and memories. TravelPages is being designed to treat that information with care and give users meaningful control over what they share.
1. Information you provide
Depending on the features you use, TravelPages may receive information such as account and profile details, trip information, traveler information, itinerary items, reservation details, journal entries, photos or other memories you choose to add, sharing choices, and messages you send to TravelPages Support.
2. Location and travel-status information
Some TravelPages features may use location or travel-status information when you choose to enable them, such as location sharing, navigation-related features, pickup coordination, or contextual travel updates. These features are intended to be permission-based and should only share information according to the controls available to you.
3. Information collected automatically
The website and app infrastructure may process routine technical information needed to deliver, secure, diagnose, and improve the service, such as IP address, device or browser information, app version, crash or error information, authentication events, and server request logs.
4. How we use information
- Provide and operate TravelPages features.
- Save and synchronize trips and account information.
- Enable sharing and collaboration you request.
- Provide travel-related information and contextual features.
- Respond to support, privacy, and deletion requests.
- Protect accounts, prevent abuse, diagnose errors, and improve reliability.
- Develop and evaluate pre-release features.
5. Sharing with other TravelPages users
TravelPages includes features designed for travelers, invited participants, friends, followers, or other people you choose to connect with. Information is shared with other users when you choose to share a trip, grant access, enable a sharing feature, or otherwise direct TravelPages to make information available to them. Access can vary by feature and permission level.
6. Service providers and third-party services
TravelPages relies on service providers and APIs to operate parts of the service. These may include cloud hosting, authentication, databases, maps, location services, flight or travel information, crash diagnostics, communications, and other infrastructure. Providers process information according to the services they perform and their applicable terms and privacy practices. The final public-release policy will identify material providers as the production architecture is finalized.
7. Website and support communications
The current website does not require a web account and does not intentionally use advertising trackers. Cloudflare may process routine network and security data to host and protect the site. If you email TravelPages Support, your message is handled through the TravelPages support Gmail account and Google's email infrastructure.
8. Data retention
TravelPages aims to keep user information only as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, meet user instructions, maintain security and integrity, resolve disputes, or satisfy legal obligations. Retention periods may differ by data type and feature. Pre-release logs and support records may be retained for troubleshooting and product-development purposes where appropriate.
9. Account and data deletion
You may request deletion of your TravelPages account and associated data through the Account Deletion page. Some information may be retained when required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or other legitimate obligations; where applicable, the reason for retention will be explained.
10. Security
TravelPages uses technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to a service in active development, including authenticated access, permission controls, encrypted network connections, and cloud-platform security features. No system can guarantee absolute security, and users should protect their account credentials and devices.
11. Children
TravelPages is not currently designed as a service directed specifically to children. Public-release age requirements, parental controls, and any youth-specific privacy obligations will be reviewed before broad release.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as TravelPages evolves. The effective date at the top of this page will change when material updates are published.
